Timing belt kit rsamani 6 months ago looking for a timming belt kit that would fit my jdm 2008 impreza sti. I promise the water pump is worth replacing even if it is not leaking. But i opted not to buy a water pump and mine seized 3 000 miles after putting the new belt on snapping the belt and dropping the valves into the head. I belive the engine is an ej207 but nod sure which version.

I went on ebay and found a user selling a kit of all 4 idlers tensioner for 145. I called their store cbhaus and talked with the parts guy he confirmed that all of the parts included are genuine ntn koyo nsk parts. For a stock or daily driven car this is a great option. Overall this kit has performed well with no issues post installation.

I picked up this kit for my 08 wrx. No complaints about the kit fit perfect good directions. This is the third gates timing belt waterpump kit i have used on my subarus. Getting access to the timing belt on a subaru is no easy task it requires removing the accessory belts radiator crank bolt and pulley and finally the cover.

All and all i am out 200. Also found the timing belt through an ebay subaru dealership for 65. This kit is pretty much what the gates kits used to be. I changed mine preventatively when doing the timing belt idlers and tensioner all from this kit at 80 000 miles 12 years old wrx sti.
